What products can I engrave?
We have developed a range of fantastic silver plated gifts for you to offer to both your retail and corporate customers. Our entire range of gifts is suitable for photo, text or logo engraving.
You can use the METAZA to engrave your own range of products. The grid layout on the machine makes this very easy. You can engrave on almost anything that has a hard flat surface.
MPX-70 = Maximum size of the engravable object: 90mm (W) x 90mm (H) x 20mm (D) MPX-80 = Maximum size of the engravable object: 90+mm (W) x 90+mm (H) x 40mm (D)
What images can I engrave?
Images can be engraved up to 529dpi and up to the size of the flat engravable area of the gift. This allows very detailed images to be recreated in an engraving.
As with traditional forms of printing - the higher quality the original image is, the better quality the finished product will be. Backgrounds will be visible in the engraving as they are in the image, so removing backgrounds usually looks better.
Logos and text can be engraved in far higher detail than by using traditional forms of engraving.
What limitations are there?
Engravings are limited mainly to the maximum size of the engraved item. With the MPX-70 this is currently 90mm (W) x 90mm (H) x 20mm (D) and the MPX-80 can deal with up to 40mm height clearance.
How much will it cost?
The cost of getting started with the MPX-70 machine is just £1,295. This includes everything you need to start making money from detailed engravings. The cost of the MPX-80 is £1,795.
What about the quality of pendants?
ALL of our pendants are the highest quality available, nickel-free, rhodium and gold plated. Unfortunately it is not enough to ensure the pendants you use are nickel-free, they must also be durable. Our platings are the highest possible hardness and quality and you should not confuse our pendant range with cheaper, inferior pendant blanks available.
What are the ongoing costs?
Once you have purchased the MPX-70 or MPX-80, the main outgoing should only be the 'cost of goods' that you are selling.
The only ongoing maintenance cost you will encounter will be the cost of replacement heads. The 'head' contains nine diamond tipped styli that strikes the metal surface. The more each stylus strikes a surface the quicker it will need replacing.
A replacement head costs £280 and can last (depending on frequency of use) anything from a few months of non-stop constant use to several years of occasional use.
It should calculate to each engraving averaging a cost of between 4p-10p each - which is cheaper than the cost of replacement ink-jet cartridges.
What experience will I need to operate the MPX-70 or MPX-80?
No previous engraving knowledge is required. It is a very simple procedure that is very similar to basic editing in a photo-editing suite then pressing PRINT as you would with a paper printer.
All the information you will need to get started will be provided and telephone support is always available from us and the manufacturer.
Do I really need to buy a package when I can engrave my own metal items to sell?
Our range of tasteful Silver Plated Gifts and pendants are proven in the market place for both retail and business gift environments.
The seperate buying price of each item is considerably reduced when buying one of our packages. The more gifts you sell, the more money you make!
Will you be adding more products to your range of gifts?
We will be constantly adding to our range of gifts as we develop more products suitable to engraving with the METAZA.
How long does it take to personalise each gift?
The engraving time for each gift depends on the complexity of the image. The average time taken to engrave each item is about 3-5mins.
The time taken to set-up an image for engraving can be as little as 2 minutes for each new image. If you are using the same image for multiple gifts (e.g logos) it is as simpe as replacing the engraved gift for another blank gift.
This means if you keep a reasonable amount of stock on hand the turnaround time can be as little as 5 minutes. 5 minutes = customer receiving their personalised gift
How successful has the METAZA been for others?
We are piloting several different sales programs within the UK, but many sellers have enjoyed high levels of success using the METAZA impact printer in the USA and the Far East. 2005 alone saw over 3000 people started using the METAZA to brand gifts.
It can be used as a turnkey business or as an add-on to an existing photo, gift or jewellery retailer.
